The Model BP-3.5 Ultra features our massive 20-amp (continuous rating) low noise transformer and was designed for larger audio/video systems with high current demands. Includes 10 Hubbell premium outlets.

The BPT Ultra Isolator Series products all share the following features:

• Custom low-noise, low temperature-rise, tight load regulation, high-isolation type toroidal  transformers from Plitron Manufacturing

• Perfectly balanced** for maximum CMR [Common Mode Rejection]

• Four stages of EMI/RFI filtration to ensure ultra-low background noise

• Copper foil laminate between primary and secondary windings to reduce capacitive coupling and provide additional filtering--the BP-10.5 also has copper foil laminate between each of the five pairs of secondary windings

• On/Off Carling magnetic circuit breaker switch to protect from current overload

• Separate EMI/RFI filtering of incoming standard/unbalanced AC and outgoing/balanced AC

• Multiple layers of grain oriented steel laminated around the transformer circumference to attenuate stray magnetic fields

• Hubbell 5362 premium, top-of-the-line duplex outlet, 20-amp rated, all brass outlets (even the grounding strap is brass)

• 3-layer chassis dampening

• Heavy black powder-coat 1/8"aluminum chassis to reduce unwanted mechanical vibrations that blur imaging and clarity (Stainless steel chassis no longer available).

• Surge/spike protection, current overload protection and GFCI [ground-fault circuit interruption] protection

• Separate noise filters on each duplex outlet to reduce component interaction

• Available in black chassis only. Optional 1/4" machined aluminum faceplate is available in clear-coated silver or black powder-coating..

The EP-2000 system (a patented design, manufactured for BPT by our friends at Environmental Potentials Inc.) is designed to suppress power line induced voltage surges up to 10,000 volts, which is approximately three times greater than the industry recognized statistical average of such surges entering a facility. It operates upon the principle of selective filtering, time spreading and absorption of voltage waveform anomalies induced onto and riding on a line frequency sinusoidal power wave. At the instant a high voltage transient or surge appears on the line frequency wave, it is clamped at a level just above the peak value of the sinusoid. This clamping action creates an amount of energy determined by the difference in the clamping voltage and the peak voltage of the transient, the impedance of the clamping device within the EP-2000, and the time duration of the transient. A solid state component designed for fail-safe performance. Includes LED for instant visual confirmation that the EP2000 surge/filtration system is fully active. If the EP2000 module should ever fail or loose its full capability for surge suppression, it can easily be replaced.
