Cables that lie on a carpet are subject to increased capacitance from the carpeting acting as an additional dielectric, static electricity that is stored in the carpeting and vibration from the solid floor. Cables that lie on hardwood or tile are subject to heavy floor vibration.

Cable Stilts solve the problem by lifting the cables off of the flooring and suspending them on an elastomer for increased vibration isolation. You will hear an increase in detail, lowered noise floor and less smearing in the high frequencies providing a more relaxed natural sound.
