Back to Speakers

Our finest loudspeaker, the Cirrus, is made to compete and beat any stand-mount speaker in the World no matter price.  The foundation for Cirrus is cabinet construction that is unheard of at this price.  Through the use of Finite Element Analysis software, cabinet resonances have been eliminated and edge diffraction is greatly reduced.  Internal reflections are also greatly reduced.  Cirrus cabinets are made exclusively with 14-ply AAA void-free Baltic Birch ply, extremely expensive but the best possible wood based material to use for cabinet construction.  The walls are filled with an engineered silica compound to further attenuate both sound transmission and resonances, and a threaded rod through the center of the assembly loads the cabinet.

The RAAL tweeter is truly a revelation, no other high-frequency transducer sounds so right and fast.  It's also extremely linear with flat extension to 40khz.  But it's the speed, but in how it starts AND stops that sets the RAAL apart.  Don't confuse it with any other ribbon tweeter available, there's none of the 'ribbon' added decay and overhang.  The reaction of listeners has been unanimous, it just sounds right.

A fast tweeter is great, but integration is the key.  Few woofers can match the speed of a tweeter like the RAAL, one of those few is the custom AudioTechnology C-Quenze driver.  This woofer is a near perfect blend of detail and musicality, articulation and dynamics.  AudioTechnology drivers are still made with the same level of attention to absolute detail that made them famous, and gave rise to Dynaudio.  But never before has a speaker as affordable as Cirrus implemented an AudioTechnology driver.

Together the drivers are masterfully integrated with the finest crossover components and Litz wiring from BPT.  The result is a speaker that performs at many times above it's price point.

Cirrus was also designed with tube lovers in mind.  It presents a very easy load with a minimum of 4.9 ohm, and the majority of range at 8 ohm or higher.  Cirrus is a true 8 ohm Nominal load, and has been tested extensively on tube gear to ensure no surprises on delivery.

Cirrus starts at $2999 with virtually any real-wood veneer available.  Standard finish veneer options are listed below. Many optional veneers are shown as well, but obviously every option could never be pictured ... and custom veneers change in appearance from lot to lot.  We will work with you to find and create exactly the look you want.

Standard finish is multiple coats of hand rubbed pure Tung Oil, followed by a buffed satin poly finish.

Standard crossover components are Jantzen 14ga foil inductors and Jantzen Z-Superior capacitors.  Upgrades are available to order such as Z-Silver capacitors and 12ga inductors, Teflon V-Cap bypass capacitors, Mundorf Silver/Gold bypass caps, or even use of exotic caps like the Clarity Cap MR or Mundorf Silver/Gold/Oil throughout the crossover (not just as bypass).
