What's coming to RMAF 2009? |
New Stuff for Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2009Mariott Conference Room Iris on the Main levelOct 2nd-4th at the RMAF in Denver, Balanced Power Technologies will be introducing some exciting products. First will be a new improved version of our highly regarded L-9 power cord, called the L-9CT. This new version uses a cellular insulation around the conductors with an extremely low dielectric contant for less coloration at all frequencies encased in a pure Teflon open-weave jacket to maintain the sonic purity. Next will be the introduction of our new top-of-the-line speaker cables the SC-6 Signature PLUS. These cables are our custom world exclusive 6N UP-OCC Litz wire design; naked, with no polymer insulation. An open- weave pure Teflon outer sleeve is used for abrasion resistance. Finally, the debut of Chris' new open baffle reference speaker. An evolutionary extension of the 2008 open baffle, this time using thirty-two 3" dynamic drivers and eight 15" dynamic drivers in a line array easily capable of 120dB output. Amplification will be 400 watt battery powered custom amps built by Chris. The BPT room will also be the debut for the top of the line Emperical Audio Overdrive DAC. Demonstrated by the designer Steve Nugent with high resolution audio files from 2L, AIX, BlueCoast Records, Chesky, HDTracks, Reference Recordings and more.
