Introducing the successor to our highly praised L-9 power cord. The model L-9C is a 9 AWG high-current design using ultra-fine gauge 4N Oxygen Free Copper 99.99% pure Litz wire--where each individual hair-thin strand of high-purity copper is coated with a 5000V-rated dielectric film. This design eliminates strand interaction, oxidation and provides an operative frequency extension beyond 200KHz. The hot-neutral-ground legs each have equivalent 9-gauge bundles and is very flexible (not heavy and stiff like other high current cords).

New is our latest generation of custom Litz wire for our L-9C series. We have redesigned the insulation on each bundle using Cellular Polyethylene, thus reducing the dielectric constant by more than 35%, yielding a power cord of unmatched neutrality (more neutral, better sounding than Teflon). The sound is characterized by lightning-fast transient response, neutral tonal balance and unhindered frequency extension in both directions, offering supreme low-level retrieval with uncolored midrange and superb bass definition. In fact, the L-9C is more neutral and has better transient response than most manufacturers speaker cables or interconnects.

Terminations:

L-9C is terminated with the Oyaide P-004 and C-004 plug set, constructed of Beryllium copper (higher conductivity than brass or bronze) with a Platinum and Paladium plating. The sound is dynamic, vivid and detailed, with outstanding bass and high frequency extension. These plugs allow more information to pass than any standard plugs and construction is excellent. Considerd by many audiophiles to be one of the best plugs available and our preferred termination with analog components.

L-9CS is terminted with the Ieogo 8095 plug set, top of the line 99.999% ultra pure solid silver contacts with Rhodium plating. Not as well known as the Oyaide but certainly in the same sonic league. The sound is dynamic and detailed with outstanding bass and high frequency extension presented in a smoother, more relaxed fashion. These plugs allow more information to pass than any standard plugs and construction is first rate. An outstanding choice for digital components.

Note: A good customer recently asked me to terminate his L-9CT with the expensive Furutech FI-50 plugs. These are incredibly beautiful plugs to be behold and hear. Construction is outstanding. Similar tonal balance to the Oyaide P/C-004 but with greater resolution, larger soundstage and a more relaxed natural sound--highly recommended!

All Oyaide, Furutech and Wattgate plugs are available as special order. Other custom termination (Neutrik powerCon, Schuko, etc...) may also be available--call to discuss.

 Shorter or longer lengths avaiable at +/- $20 per ft.

Upgrades:

Teflon - Replace black outer expandable sleeve with a clear Teflon sleeve which improves clarity and allows an even more neutral tonal balance with less coloration. -- $10 per foot. L-9 cords with Teflon upgrade get an additional "T" designation.

Super-Shield - Add our custom highly effective shielding that combines copper braid and copper foil. A  heavy double copper braid covers the length of the cord and is quite unique in that we shield the body of the plugs with copper foil--so that the cord is completely shielded from end to end. -- $15 per foot. L-9 cords with Super-Shield get an additional "SS" designation.
